Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
- Technical knowledge of trackwork system with proven experience in brown-field project environment i.e. construction projects in the operating railway
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in a cross-cultural environment
Remarks
- Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms

Responsibilities
- Support mega asset replacement projects and capital works for Permanent Way in the operating railway
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the construction contracts in a safe reliable and cost-effective manner following the programme
- Prepare technical details and specifications to the required standards and the scope of works in an operating railway environment
- Liaise with asset owner/maintainer on the works planning and execute the day-to-day works
- Conduct inspection and recommend precautionary measures for potential engineering issues
- Supervise a team of site supervision inspectors and contractors to monitor the works ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and performance standards including safety environment quality and workmanship
- Prepare regular progress reports and examine submissions from site supervision
