Job Summary

Remote Postions Closes 12/29
Loc: Remote - TX residents preferred

Objective: Support the Mainframe Transformation Program including SaaS/COTS implementations data migration from mainframe systems and building a Data Warehouse.
Environment: Texas State Agency Oil & Gas systems preferred.
Work Style: Advanced-level analysis under limited supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment.

Key Duties

Gather develop and document requirements using multiple methods.
Review assess and develop business processes.
Create and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Provide research and special project support.
Document and analyze implementation of multiple interrelated projects:
- SaaS/COTS software applications.
- Data migration from mainframe systems.
- Data Warehouse development.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and accepted methodologies.
Facilitate interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams.
May supervise or assign work to others.

Minimum (Required):

Years	Skills/Experience
10	Business analysis experience on software development projects including: the preparation of project related documentation.
10	Strong interpersonal collaborative analytical written/verbal/presentation communication skills in English (specifically technical writing); and well versed with MS Office suite of products and prototyping/screen mock-up tools such as Visio SnagIt Adobe Illustrator or Axure.
10	Hands-on requirements elicitation; client management and technical documentation including traceability use cases prototyping and data modeling.
10	Facilitating interactive sessions with business and cross functional teams.
10	Strong analysis experience and expertise in assessing Production Support issues to determine Root Cause and document items needed for data or system correction.
10	Developing/maintaining an understanding of key business drivers/impacts assisting clients with identifying and solving business
10	Develop/write design documents and diagram business processes
10	Facilitating analysis of business and functional requirements and design of technology specifications working with business / functional personnel.
10	Defining functional design and systems specifications; preparing/reviewing/delivering completed packages.
10	Participating in and providing guidance to Business and Functional Units in developing and completing user acceptance testing training and implementation-related activities.
8	Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.
8	Writing revising and verifying quality standards and test procedures (including test plans and test cases).
8	Reviewing and interpreting business requirements and design specifications and translating them into test procedures.
8	Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
8	Working experience using JIRA (Creating stories Test cases Test execution and JIRA reports)
8	Skill/understanding of Smoke Testing Regression testing Black box testing white box testing and manual and automation testing. Experience must demonstrate advanced-level use of Oracle/SQL queries

	Bachelors degree in computer science Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
