POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing reimbursement draw requests submitted by County departments related to the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary staff member responsible for reviewing ARPA reimbursement draw requests submitted by County departments

Review costs claimed on a sample basis against executed contracts

Review and compare the nature of contracts to approved projects to ensure consistency

Reconcile costs to COMPASS (SAP) to confirm costs have been incurred and payments received
-
Ensure compliance with U.S. Treasury rules and guidelines Federal OMB guidelines and contract terms
-
Assist the Accounting Manager in compiling federal expenditures for SEFA reporting purposes
-
Serve as a liaison for potential audits related to the ARPA program

Assist in the performance of subrecipient monitoring in accordance with applicable federal requirements

Perform accounting-related duties as identified during the normal course of operations
REQUIRED SKILLS

Comprehensive knowledge and skills expected of an Accountant

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices including cost accounting
-
Proven ability to assemble analyze and prepare reports and statements involving complex financial data
-
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable which may include use of automated systems
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Accounting Finance or Business Administration

Two to four years of accounting experience
