This role supports the design team across multiple domains - NVH crash durability and manufacturing-by applying advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass enhance performance and guide design decisions. Youll contribute to both current and future vehicle platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space constraints objectives etc.)
- Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
- Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness stress mass)
- Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies
- Use tools like OptiStruct NASTRAN Hyperworks BetaCAE
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes
- Provide design guidance during concept phases
- Script in Python or TCL (a plus)
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelors (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience with 1 2 years in optimization
- Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
- Familiar with OptiStruct/NASTRAN Hyperworks BetaCAE
- Enthusiastic quick learner problem solver and team collaborator
- Performance assessed via task-based evaluations
