Job Summary

Job Title: IT Project Manager III

Location: Corning NY

Duration: 11 Months

Job Type: Contract

Note: Remote Eastern or Central Time Zone Candidates considered. Candidates must be willing to work EST schedule. Candidate must be able to travel 1 week per month to Corning NY to participate in project team workshops for the duration of the project. Schedule: 40 hours M-F 8am - 5pm OT not anticipated. Interview Process: Two Rounds Expected. Third Round (video) may be required. First round video screening with direct manager. Second round video panel interview with hiring team. Top 3 Keywords: 1. Top Required Skills:

Strong project ownership with proven ability to drive complex IT/PMO projects
PMP certification (active and listed on resume)
Experience delivering Financial Application projects (SAP PeopleSoft) with SOX compliance understanding

Must-Have Skills:

7 years of IT or PMO project management experience
PMP certification (active dates required)
Bachelors degree
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience developing and managing project plans RAID logs and cross-functional collaboration
Experience with financial systems (SAP PeopleSoft)
Ability to gather/manage Finance stakeholder requirements
Experience managing SOX-compliant projects
Experience managing testing cycles and defect reporting
Ability to handle issue resolution escalation and risk mitigation
Detail-oriented with strong adherence to quality and compliance standards
Ability to perform after-hours cutover support

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Agile/Scrum certification or formal training
Experience drafting SOX requirements and supporting audits
Experience with root-cause analysis of defects defect tracking and daily testing reports
Experience working in Agile project environments
Strong familiarity with financial domain processes
Experience coordinating cutover planning and execution

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end execution of IT PMO projects ensuring timelines budgets and deliverables are met
Develop comprehensive project plans manage RAID logs and provide clear project reporting
Engage stakeholders manage communication and ensure alignment with business priorities
Drive issue resolution escalate appropriately and monitor project risks with mitigation strategies
Ensure adherence to Cornings compliance quality and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle
Support financial application projects including requirements gathering SOX compliance testing oversight and cutover coordination

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of IT/PMO project management experience
Bachelors degree required
PMP certification required (must list certification & active dates)
Strong experience with financial systems (SAP PeopleSoft)
Proven ability to manage complex projects testing cycles defects cutovers and stakeholder communication
