Breakfast Cook and Baker

Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site (meals and accommodation included) on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.A typical shift schedule is any of the following:4 weeks on and 2 weeks off 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation ensuite or shared bathroom full meals WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations.
Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply. Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.
Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces and some require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. All new staff are required to complete pre-employment onboarding orientations.

TheBreakfast Cook /Bakeris responsible forpreparing breakfast service items outlined in a predetermined menu plan. They must be able to work fast yet diligently with a focus on consistency while open to direction. This position requires someone willing to and with the skill set to execute housekeeping responsibilities as well.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years professional cooking and baking experience is an asset
- Food Safe Certification
- WHIMIS Certification
- Great communication. Speak read and write inEnglish
- Team player and able to provide support motivationand encouragement to others
- Excellent attention to detail and well-developedorganizational skills
- Strong work ethic with an ability to workindependently and in a team environment
- Maintain a professional experience at all times
- Works safely and responsibility
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Breakfast Cook/Baker
- Provide excellent customer service and upholdsthe LandSea reputation
- Maintaining a minimum of 70% Scratch baking
- Works with the Head Cook to plan breakfast menus and complete the preparation and service of breakfast
- Keeps kitchen tidy and sanitized. Works withinall Food Safe guidelines
- Ensures groceries are stocked as well as keptorganized and adhering to FIFO
- Assisting with inventory counts if required
- Putting away grocery orders in a neat and timelymanner
- Advising Head Cook of supplies and/or equipment issues
- Sweeping mopping and sanitizing tables and counters
Housekeeping
- Remove garbage and dust shelving
- Sweep and vacuum the mudroom hallway and entranceways
- Check inbound and outbound guest lists for room changeover. Report changes and cleaned items
- Ensure bathrooms are cleaned each day (floors toilets shower stalls sinks and mirrors)
- Replenish toilet paper paper towels and soap
- Keep the laundry room tidy; dust and sweep daily mop every other day
- Keep linen storage clean and organized
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically and mentally fit to performall aspects of the job
- Able to lift up to 20 kgs
- Lifting standing crouching kneeling with longperiods of standing
- Must be able to complete 12-hour shifts
