Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint & Power BI Specialist to join our IT team. This position will be full-time remote and is a contract position.
What Youll Do
- Design configure and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Prem environments
- Implement Hybrid Cloud Architecture and integrate with Microsoft Azure
- Customize SharePoint using SPFx Power Automate Power Apps and workflows
- Create and manage document libraries lists metadata and web parts
- Set up user access permissions and governance policies
- Perform migrations using tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Tool
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance
- Provide end-user support and training including backup and recovery procedures
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Build and optimize data models DAX calculations and Power Query transformations
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server Azure SQL SharePoint Excel APIs)
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and dataset security
- Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance including dataset refresh schedules and gateway configurations
- Troubleshoot slow-performing reports and optimize queries for efficiency
- Document data models business logic and report specifications for future reference
What Youll Need Required:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 4 years as a SharePoint Administrator or Developer
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS SQL Server Office 365 Power BI and PowerShell
- Familiarity with SharePoint tools (ULS Logs workflows forms)
- Excellent collaboration communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adhere to SDLC standards and work independently
- KnowledgeLake experience
- Basic knowledge of database tools and procedural languages SQL T-SQL PL/SQL
- Flexibility to support additional applications and reporting tools as needed
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
