Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint & Power BI Specialist to join our IT team. This position will be full-time remote and is a contract position.

What Youll Do

• Design configure and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Prem environments
• Implement Hybrid Cloud Architecture and integrate with Microsoft Azure
• Customize SharePoint using SPFx Power Automate Power Apps and workflows
• Create and manage document libraries lists metadata and web parts
• Set up user access permissions and governance policies
• Perform migrations using tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Tool
• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance
• Provide end-user support and training including backup and recovery procedures
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Build and optimize data models DAX calculations and Power Query transformations
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server Azure SQL SharePoint Excel APIs)
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and dataset security
• Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance including dataset refresh schedules and gateway configurations
• Troubleshoot slow-performing reports and optimize queries for efficiency
• Document data models business logic and report specifications for future reference

What Youll Need Required:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 4 years as a SharePoint Administrator or Developer
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS SQL Server Office 365 Power BI and PowerShell
• Familiarity with SharePoint tools (ULS Logs workflows forms)
• Excellent collaboration communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adhere to SDLC standards and work independently
• KnowledgeLake experience
• Basic knowledge of database tools and procedural languages SQL T-SQL PL/SQL
• Flexibility to support additional applications and reporting tools as needed

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
