Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilledCNC Machinist IIto join our advanced aerospace manufacturing team in this role you will set up and operate multi-axis CNC equipment especially large5-axis machining centers to produce precision components from aluminum titanium and high-temperature alloys.
TheCNC Machinist IIwill perform with minimal supervision ensuring all machined parts meet exact engineering and quality standards while contributing to overall company performance inQuality Cost Delivery Safety and Attitude (QCDSA). Essential Functions
Set up and operate3- 4- and 5-axis CNC mills and lathesto produce complex aerospace parts.
Read and interpretcomplex blueprints geometric tolerances and work instructions.
Perform in-process inspections usingprecision measuring tools(micrometers calipers height gauges CMM etc.).
Calculate and makeoffset adjustmentsto maintain tolerances.
Monitor machine performance tooling wear and make necessary adjustments for accuracy.
Provide feedback to resolve production issues and supportcontinuous improvement.
Follow allsafety quality and workmanship policiesin a high-precision aerospace environment.
Performroutine maintenance and cleaningof equipment.
Maintain accurateproduction maintenance and inspection recordsin compliance with AS9100.
Participate inroot cause analysis and process improvementinitiatives.
Verify part conformity to specifications per router packet.
Deburr partsfor precise finishes and accurate assembly fit.
Demonstrateproficiency in G-codeand CNC control parameters.
Maintain aclean and organized workspaceto ensure production readiness.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of aCNC machining certificate or vocational trainingpreferred.
Experience
38 yearsof CNC machining experience inaerospace defense or medical manufacturing.
Proficiency in readingtechnical drawings blueprints and specifications.
Skilled in usingcalipers micrometers and other precision measurement tools.
Familiar withAS9100 aerospace quality standards.
Computer Skills
Experience withCAD CAM MRP and ERP systems.
Proficient inMicrosoft Officeand related programs.
Personal Attributes
High initiative with a strong commitment tofirst-part quality.
Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills.
Provides valuable feedback to improveproduct quality and cost.
Other Requirements
Must belegally authorized to work in the U.S.
Adherence toOSHA NADCAP ISO9000 / AS9100 ITAR and FAAregulations.
May require internal certifications (e.g.Forklift Slings/Cranes FPV).
Physical Requirements
Stand walk bend and reach for812 hours per shift.
Lift carry push or pull up to50 lbs regularly.
Toleratemanufacturing noise vibration and temperature changes.
Wear appropriatePPE(safety glasses gloves hearing protection).
Work Environment
Active production floor withmoderate noise levels.
