Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Manager you will provide leadership direction and management oversight for continuous improvement of the standard EVS operating model within the facility.
Every day you will manage a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques process and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure we provide a clean safe environment as we help save lives.
To be successful in this role you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients visitors and staff. A well-maintained facility with compassionate staff brings comfort and peace of mind to patients their loved ones and all who serve here.
What youll do...
- Directly supervising daily activities within the EVS and Laundry Departments. This encompasses managing staffing levels workload distribution recruitment training disciplinary actions and performance evaluations all while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety for patients visitors and staff.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication both written and verbal with direct reports internal customers and management.
- Encouraging behaviors that align with CHI St. Josephs Healths Core Values (Reverence Integrity Compassion and Excellence) and Service Promise (Kind Compassionate Care Every Person Every Time).
- Developing and managing department budgets inventory policies procedures and regulatory documentation.
- Identifying and supporting the developmental needs of team members through coaching mentoring and skill enhancement opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Three (3) years experience in a supervisory role.
- One (1) year supervisory experience managing and scheduling staff.
Preferred:
- Certified Environmental Services Tech (CHEST) preferred.
