We are currently hiring a CNM 2 - Ortho and Surgical for a reputed hospital in Cork Ireland.

Responsibilities
Provide overall clinical and managerial leadership for the Orthopaedic & Surgical unit ensuring safe effective and patient-centred care.
Lead and manage nursing and support staff including workforce planning rostering performance management and staff development.
Ensure compliance with professional standards hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Oversee clinical governance risk management infection prevention and patient safety initiatives.
Collaborate closely with consultants surgeons anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Manage operational aspects of the unit including bed management patient flow and discharge planning.
Monitor and control budgets resources equipment and supplies within the unit.
Lead quality improvement audit and service development initiatives.
Support education training and mentoring of CNM 1s staff nurses and student nurses.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to hospital-wide nursing and service objectives.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with current registration with the relevant Nursing Board (e.g. NMBI or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience with substantial experience in an acute Orthopaedic and/or Surgical setting.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (e.g. CNM 2 Senior Staff Nurse or acting CNM role).
All applicants must have experience working in an acute hospital setting.
Nurses must have experience in Orthopaedic and/or Surgical clinical areas to be suitable for these wards.
Availability to work days nights and weekends as required.
Demonstrated leadership people management and decision-making skills.
Strong communication organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience in clinical governance quality improvement and risk management.
Evidence of ongoing professional development; a postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership/management is desirable.
