Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Construction Supervisor to join our team focusing on the execution of planned maintenance projects across a variety of public and commercial properties in North Yorkshire. This role is crucial for supervising multi-trade teams on-site ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and delivering projects on time and within budget. The position is based at NY Highways Northallerton and involves working closely with North Yorkshire Council to uphold public sector values with a commercial mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily construction and highways maintenance operations.
- Manage site documentation resources and liaise with contractors.
- Lead Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Line manage operatives and support their professional development.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in multiple trades related to property maintenance.
- Possession of SMSTS CSCS Managers Card First Aid at Work and CITB MAP H&S Test certifications.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Enhanced DBS (Childrens Barred List) clearance.
- Valid full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within North Yorkshire.
Required Skills:
Requirements: Degree or HND in Building Surveying Construction Management or a related field or equivalent extensive experience in housing/property and planned works contract delivery. Knowledge of Social Housing Standards Decent Homes Standard HHRSR and landlord responsibilities. Experience and/or knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety.
