Job Summary
Total Number of Openings
1Inspects maintains troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems including fixed and rotating equipment engines pumps generators compressors piping valves vessels. Identifies and implements reliability integrity economic carbon reduction and safety improvements for above systems.Performs routine tasks independently. General supervision of non-routine work. Has basic knowledge of Chevron policies and practices
Chevron is accepting online applications for the Mechanic position located in Midland TX through December 26th at 11:59 p.m. (CT).
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability and willingness to work weekends holidaysand overtime as workload demands
- Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Able to work with limited supervision
- 4/10 schedule based in Midland TX
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years current industrial mechanical experience with emphasis on reciprocating engines compressors centrifugal compressors turbines centrifugal and reciprocating pumps and generators
- Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety environmental and production related issues
- Ability to perform troubleshooting maintenance and repair of major oil and gas production and facility process systems
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook etc.) CMMS and an aptitude for learning new software applications.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with in a diverse team
- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials

- Relocation will be considered.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.

Assessment
