Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Physician Assistant with a background in urgent care or emergency medicine. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient examinations collect health histories and review diagnostic test results.
Administer or order diagnostic tests such as labs imaging studies and EKGs; interpret results accurately.
Perform therapeutic procedures including injections immunizations suturing wound care and infection management.
Develop and implement patient management plans document progress and ensure continuity of care.
Provide patient education on treatment plans preventive health and lifestyle management.
Support specialty-specific duties including facilitating admissions transfers discharges and first assisting in surgeries as applicable.
Perform pre- and post-operative care including patient education procedure support and documentation.
Mentor and guide less experienced physician assistants and collaborate with physicians and department teams to improve clinical operations.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years preferably in urgent care emergency or specialty departments.
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
Valid California Physician Assistant License at hire.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Physician Assistant National Certificate at hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Fluoroscopy Permit required for Orthopedics Interventional Radiology or Radiation Oncology roles (or must be obtained within 18 months).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certification in a specialty area.
Experience with specific departmental procedures and protocols months).
