U-Haul International Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Human Resources. As the leader of our Human Resources department you will play a pivotal role in shaping our companys culture and driving our people strategy to new heights. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-paced and innovative organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the entire Human Resources department including payroll benefits compensation workplace solutions analytics HRIS and more.
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the HR team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HR initiatives are integrated with business goals.
Develop and manage HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Drive performance management processes and contribute to the development of a high-performance culture.
Develop and manage the HR budget and ensure cost-effective delivery of HR services.
Collaborate with the executive team to set and achieve HR-related goals and KPIs.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
5 years in a leadership role. The leadership role does not have to be directly in an HR environment.
Progressive experience in Human Resources is preferred.
Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse HR team.
Deep understanding of HR best practices employment laws and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
High level of empathy and emotional intelligence with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Ability to set clear goals prioritize effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
