Job Summary

Description Of Job Duties
The Graduate Assistant will work with staff of the Office of Corporate Foundation and Sponsored Research Support to assist in every aspect of the lifecycle of grants and gifts from public and private funding sources. The GA will gain wide experience in the management and leadership of grant development from researching potential funding opportunities to working with faculty and staff on the development of their proposals to managing grant awards. Specific responsibilities of the OSRP Graduate Assistant include: 1. Researching potential corporate foundation and government prospects to identify funding opportunities that align with the strategic priorities of the College and its programs. 2. Studying guidelines of grant applications and conferring with the Office staff about approaches to connect with a funder. 3. Assisting with reviewing and editing draft proposals agreements and reports with comments and suggested changes using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word. 4. Helping draft grant proposals and assemble application packages with all required documentation. 5. Networking with other professionals in the broader grant administration community through participation in outside workshops and events. 6. Assist Office staff with the development and management of content on the HUB . 7. Tracking submission and reports and inputting information into institutional databases.

Job Qualifications
1. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously set priorities and effectively manage time 2. Have strong attention to detail 3. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 4. Posses strong strong communication skills particularly writing skills 5. Proficiency with Microsoft application namely Excel and Word
