Job Summary

The Site Engineer - E&M will be responsible for supervising and managing the execution of electrical and mechanical works at metro project sites. This role requires a professional with a strong engineering background hands-on experience in E&M systems and a focus on quality safety and timely project delivery. The candidate will coordinate with contractors consultants and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of E&M systems in metro projects.

Job Duties:

  •  
    • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality safety and environmental standards at sites.
    • Coordinate with contractors consultants and other project stakeholders to resolve site-related issues.
    • Review CRD/ Shop drawings vendor submittals as per technical specifications and other project documentation.
    • Ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings method statements and industry standards.
    • Ensure timely availability of resources materials and equipment for uninterrupted site operations.
    • Supervise the installation testing and commissioning of E&M systems including HVAC Firefighting Fire detection and alarm and BMS system.
    • To carry out measurements of E&M works as per approved drawings.
    • Ensure proper integration of E&M systems with other systems.
    • Conduct inspections and ensure that all E&M activities meet the required quality standards.
    • Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in construction practices at sites.
    • Enforce a safe working environment for all personnel on-site and work is carried out as per safety protocols.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards or risks identified.
    • Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for submission to senior management.
    • Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
    • Provide technical guidance to contractors and resolve any engineering-related challenges on-site.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field).

Additional Information :

  • Minimum 6 years of total professional experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on E&M systems.
  • Hands-on experience in the installation testing and commissioning of E&M systems in large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
