Job Summary
Production Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to production areas optimising processes to achieve OEE objectives and production KPIs
- Analyse and improve production efficiency implementing strategies to reduce waste and enhance performance
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes
- Collaborate with quality control and product development teams to ensure products meet required standards and specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues implement preventive maintenance schedules and liaise with suppliers to resolve technical problems
- Monitor key production metrics reporting findings to management and recommending innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives fostering a culture of efficiency and quality across the organisation
Qualifications :
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and administrative tasks
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in production engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments
- Experience with process analysis and optimization techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (CAD tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Lean Manufacturing: Basic knowledge of Lean elements such as: 5S Continuous Improvement Kaizen Kanban Point-of-Use.
- Pokayoke Process Mapping SMED etc.
