Responsibilities include:
- Maintain communication with Greeley Scholar(s) and guests in coordination with Greeley Committee Board Chair
- Coordinate with Greeley Board Co-Chairs to develop planning meeting agendas and distributing meeting notes
- Schedule event planning meetings
- Create and manage event planning timelines
- For virtual events work with IT to help identify the best platform for the virtual event and assist with the logistics of planning and hosting the virtual event
- Work with Hospitality and Event Services to coordinate on-campus virtual and hybrid events including identifying and booking venues and arrange audiovisual needs
- Work Aramark to finalize events
- As applicable arrange travel and accommodation for speakers
- Coordinate with UML departments/programs and community organizations on event planning
- Collaborate with FAHSS Deans Office university relations and advancement teams to coordinate events needs
- Advertise events through (as appropriate) flyers posters social media email phone etc. as well as conduct targeted outreach
- Send out invitations and RSVP to targeted groups
- Manage budget create contracts as needed and pay invoices
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelors degree required
- Advanced communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree preferred
- Experience with project management especially in an academic setting and/or history of managing complex events with varied constituents preferred
- Experience providing rapid response to high-level requests and/or senior leadership needs preferred
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Anticipatedan average of 10 hours per week for 12 months per year.
