Due to an internal promotion we are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Peterborough.

Are you a technically skilled engineer with a customer-focused mindset As a Sales Engineer you will play a key role in driving business growth through your technical expertise.

Your Responsibilities:

Develop strategies by understanding customer needs decision processes timelines and competitors.
Review and respond to leads from various sources creating technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure proposals are technically solid and financially accurate.
Support key accounts and follow up on enquiries to maximize success.
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships providing expert technical support.
Gather market insights customer feedback and competitor information to inform strategies.
Keep the CRM system updated for sales reporting and forecasting.
Follow health and safety policies demonstrating company values.

Your Skills and Experience:

Hands-on engineering background preferably in mechanical engineering.
Problem-solver who enjoys finding solutions in grey areas.
Capable of building rapport and comfortable meeting new people.
Able to explain engineering problems clearly and simply.
Good PC skills quick to learn new programs and databases.
Willing to travel within the UK and overseas for customer visits and exhibitions.
Background in assembly fitting project management or similar roles requiring engineering knowledge and customer service.
