The role of Painter must use their paint/body experience Grit Blast and sound judgment to complete assigned paint requirements.
YOUR IMPACT
Paint according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications
Complete assigned Lean initiatives including 5s activities
Troubleshoot problems identify and communicate discrepancies
Complete required paint documentation including VOC log and check sheets
Move painted parts to the next process verifying they meet Oshkosh AeroTech specifications
Recommend improvements to paint procedures
Perform all duties in a safe manner and keep all employees aware of dangers in work area
Practice good housekeeping in work area
Follow Safety Health Environment and Hazardous Waste rules and responsibilities
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the companys discretion
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience
Typically has five or more years auto paint and body experience
Experience with prep grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery required
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
