Position Summary
Reporting to the in vivo manager you will provide support in running animal studies and downstream analysis on site. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility requiring performing molecular biology assays at high throughput performing immunohistochemistry protocols and conducting procedures on animals.
Job Responsibilities
Perform procedures with animals such as dosing (including PO IP SC IM) and tissue dissections
Operate in-life imaging platforms such as Ultrasound & Bioimaging systems
Perform immunohistochemical techniques such as tissue processing sectioning antibody staining and imaging
Perform molecular biology techniques such as qPCR RT-PCR DNA/RNA extractions and protein assays at high throughput
Process analyze and present data
Deliver quality work within project timelines
Manage workload with minimal supervision
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in biology chemistry or related field with 2 years related experience OR 6 years role relevant experience
Experience of working with rodents
Demonstrable experience with histological or molecular biology techniques
Motivated to learn and develop new techniques
Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Ability to present data confidently and clearly both verbally and through written reports
Experience of working with rodents
Strong organizational and planning skills
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Experience with surgical techniques in rodents
Experience in industry or gene therapy.
