We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Android Automotive Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development with a focus on automotive applications. You will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining software solutions for invehicle infotainment systems ensuring high performance reliability and user satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain Androidbased applications and systems for automotive infotainment platforms.
- Integrate Android Automotive OS (AAOS) with vehicle systems including telematics navigation multimedia and connectivity modules.
- Customize and optimize Android Automotive OS to meet specific OEM requirements and vehicle configurations.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging software to ensure high quality and reliability. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Optimize system performance including boot time memory usage and power consumption to meet automotive standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications user manuals and API documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams including hardware engineers UX/UI designers and product managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations including functional safety (ISO 26262 and cybersecurity requirements.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in Android Automotive development and propose innovative solutions to enhance product features and performance.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Android application development with a focus on automotive or embedded systems.
- Expertise in AOSP embedded Linux customization Android applications developments and modern Android architecture.
- Proficiency in Java Kotlin C and Modern C for developing Android applications and automotive services.
- Specializes in creating custom HALs Vehicle HALs and automotive framework customizations with seamless API integration for Android Automotive.
- Strong understanding of Android Automotive OS and its architecture.
- Experience with Android SDK NDK and Android Studio.
- Experienced in embedded systems realtime OS and diagnostic protocols focused on building reliable highperformance solutions.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN LIN Ethernet).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git SVN).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Linux kernel development and customization.
- Knowledge of automotive infotainment systems and HMI development.
- Familiarity with cloud services and IoT integration.
- Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
