Dream Big - Join Urban Italian Group!
Urban Italian Group is launching Villa Valentina a modern Spanish concept opening in Slussen Stockholm in spring 2026. The restaurant is UIGs love letter to Andalusia inspired by traditional Spanish farmhouses and defined by passion and strong character.
Villa Valentina is not just about tapas and wine but about the experience. The concept focuses on genuine hospitality carefully selected ingredients and creating a warm and lively restaurant with personality at its core.
Set in the new heart of Slussen Villa Valentina will be one of UIGs most significant openings to date a large-scale high-exposure venue designed for very high volume with up to 400 seats during the summer season. Were now looking for a senior hands-on General Manager who can lead a flagship opening of this scale and intensity and who thrives where the pace is high and standards are non-negotiable.

Basta - Our casual dining restaurant brand offering great guest experiences in beautifully designed places focused around great value for the guests. With a colourful inspiration from the narrow streets of Amalfi up to the north of Milano.
Florentine - Florentine on the other hand is an international upscale casual dining Trattoria offering culinary experiences in a glamorous setting straight from the Italian movie scene.

Trattoria Giorgios - Trattoria Giorgios in Östermalm captures the warm elegant buzz of a 1960s Milanese trattoria with Negronis flowing and long passionate Italian dinners where community design and modern energy meet.
Lola Maria - Lola Maria by Lilla Torg in central Malmö brings Andalusian-style tapas flowing cava and vibrant Spanish rhythm to the citys pulse an energetic colourful meeting place that lives late into the night at the heart of Malmö.

The Role
As General Manager of Villa Valentina you will take full ownership of the venue from pre-opening planning to daily operations with one clear priority:
An exceptional guest experience delivered through a confident trained motivated team.
This is not a back office GM role. Were looking for a leader who spends the majority of their time on the floor coaching in real time setting the pace and elevating standards.
What Youll Do:
Lead from the floor: be present in service drive energy and ensure consistency at high volume.
Build a high-performing culture: recruit train retain and develop leaders and future stars.
Own the guest journey: standards hospitality pace problem-solving and turning first-timers into regulars.
Deliver operational excellence: structure routines service flows staffing and daily execution.
Run the business: budgeting forecasting P&L understanding labour optimisation stock control and cost discipline.
Partner with Head Chef & Bar leadership: ensure FOH/BOH alignment and a seamless total experience.
Own the pre-opening (key part of the role): hiring training plan SOPs service rehearsals and launch readiness.
Who You Are:
A natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and leads by example.
Senior GM experience in high-volume and quality-led restaurants (multi-station full service premium casual/upscale casual).
Youre a visible leader calm under pressure high standards high care.
Strong at training and developing teams (and building managers not just employees).
You love service and understand how to create rhythm momentum and vibe.
Commercially sharp: you understand the numbers and how to improve performance without compromising the guest experience.
Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus not required).
EU work permit required (visa sponsorship currently unavailable).
