Key Responsibilities - Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop implement and execute comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) schedules for all critical plant machinery including CNC machines gear cutting equipment testing rigs and utility systems.
- Breakdown Management: Rapidly diagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic faults on industrial equipment to minimise production downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse equipment failures (Root Cause Analysis - RCA) and implement corrective actions and modifications to improve machine reliability efficiency and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
- Spare Parts & Inventory: Manage critical spare parts inventory procure specialist components and ensure the availability of all necessary tools and supplies for maintenance operations.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to and enforce all company Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies. Ensure all equipment and maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards.
- Team & Contractor Supervision: Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and external contractors ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records equipment history technical drawings and documentation within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Required Qualifications & Experience - Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Insert relevant experience years e.g. 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a heavy engineering gear manufacturing or process plant environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in troubleshooting industrial machinery including Gear Units/Gearboxes Couplings pumps compressors and motor control systems. Familiarity with precision machining equipment (CNC VMC etc.) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Expertise in using condition monitoring techniques (e.g. vibration analysis thermal imaging) and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Key Skills & Competencies - Excellent technical problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and local language).
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
