Job Summary

Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to lead product development for next-generation wearable sensors and medical monitoring this role you will drive system design requirement architecture risk management and system integration activities across the full product lifecycle-from early feasibility through post-market support.

You will champion systems thinking across the organization and guide cross-functional teams as they navigate complex technical challenges. Acting as the bridge between engineering and business teams you will ensure that our products meet user needs while upholding the highest standards of safety quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning design and execution of system engineering activities from concept through post-market surveillance.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Commercial teams to translate clinical and user needs into product requirements.
  • Stay current with medical device technologies and regulatory standards (FDA ISO) to ensure product compliance.
  • Work closely with engineering UI/UX regulatory quality and manufacturing teams to guide technical direction and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop manage and maintain system-level requirements and ensure traceability across product requirements design outputs and V&V.
  • Support requirement development across Software Electrical Mechanical and additional engineering disciplines.
  • Partner with V&V Engineers to create test plans for system integration verification and validation and oversee relevant testing activities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive Risk Management files (Risk Management Plan Hazard Analysis Risk Management Report).
  • Lead and coordinate FMEAs.
  • Conduct requirement and risk-management impact assessments for design changes material/process updates field complaints or manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or related technical field; masters or PhD preferred.
  • 5 years of systems engineering experience with at least 2 years leading system or subsystem design activities.
  • Experience with complex medical device development in a regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of FDA ISO and applicable medical device standards.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams in collaborative fast-moving environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic organization and adapting quickly to evolving needs.
