Electrical & Automation Engineer
Department: Facility Maintenance
Reports To: FM Manager
Position Summary:
The Electrical & Automation Engineer is responsible for operating maintaining and optimizing all electrical control and automation systems within the plant. The role ensures equipment reliability minimizes downtime and supports TPM productivity and quality improvement initiatives. Under the Maintenance Managers supervision this position handles electrical/automation maintenance conducts PM/CM activities troubleshoots PLC issues enhances system performance and contributes to technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair electrical systems PLCs sensors inverters servo motors and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
- Program adjust and optimize PLC/HMI logic according to production requirements.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machines and production lines in collaboration with vendors.
- Perform root cause analysis and propose preventive measures to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure stable performance and meet KPIs.
- Conduct regular electrical safety inspections and comply with EHS standards.
- Recommend and manage spare parts inventory for electrical and automation components.
- Support TPM activities equipment upgrades downtime reduction and cost optimization.
- Operate and maintain injection molding machines (Marubeni JSW Haitian etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs warranty services and equipment upgrades.
- Supervise a small team (approximately 510 staff).
- Participate in 5S EMS and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively; able to generate new ideas.
- High sense of urgency and proactiveness in achieving goals.
- Good English communication
Education:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering Industrial Electricity Automation Engineering or Mechatronics.
Experience & Technical Knowledge:
- 1- 3 years in electrical/automation maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with PLCs (Siemens/Omron/Mitsubishi) inverters servo systems sensors pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Able to read electrical and control diagrams.
- Experienced in troubleshooting injection molding machines sensors heaters valves motors and PLCs.
- Proven experience in equipment troubleshooting and improvement activities.
Working Conditions:
- - Working hours: Monday to Friday
- 13th salary month bonus (April 30 September year-end bonus) salary increase twice a year based on evaluation (average increase 5%).
- Probation period: 2 months 85% basic salary 100% allowance.
- Annual leave: 12 days per year.
- Insurance paid on full salary.
