Associate: Support Operator (Cleaner) - Hudson Plant

JOB CLASSIFICATION

Support Operator

POSITION REPORTS TO:

Hudson Plant Operations Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Performs a wide variety of cleaning and janitorial duties

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular and predictable attendance

Support Operator:

  • Clean mop and stock bathrooms daily and as needed
  • Clean and mop breakrooms on a daily basis. Clean lunchroom equipment as needed including refrigerators microwaves toasters etc.
  • Clean floors in offices and production areas.
  • Empty trash containers daily.
  • Shovel snow and assure that walkways and stairs are clear of ice and snow.
  • Monitor supply of janitorial supplies
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Six months of janitorial experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Textile knitting experience

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent hand/eye coordination
  • Adaptability adapts to changes in the work environment
  • Attention to detail thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed
  • Ability to identify and classify defects

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME

12-16 Weeks

1. Standing: Ability to stand while working 95% of day

  1. Moving: Ability to move throughout plant: 50% of day
  1. Lifting: Ability tolift upto25lbs. 10% of day
  1. Ascending/Descending:Ability to walk upstairsclimb to top of range

(approx. 16 ft) 35% of day

  1. Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull fabric rollsA-frames (approx

1500lbs) 35% of day

  1. Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 15% of day
  1. Visual Acuity: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties

including reading information from printed sources and

computer screens. 100% of day

9. Cognitive: Alert. Able to make decisions reason and understand

information. 100% of day

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION

This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.

SHIFT/WORK HOURS

Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.

  • 1stShift: 6 AM 2 PM
