Job Responsibilities
1) Fabric Sourcing & Development
Identify and source materials suitable for different bag designs based on cost aesthetics and sustainability. Work with design commercial teams to develop new fabric in collaboration with suppliers to meet standards and the cost
Analyse fabric structure texture composition and design
Manage material libraries
2) Market & Trend Analysis
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in materials and manufacturing processes.
Analyse competitors material choices and performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
3) Technical & Quality Oversight
Conduct risk assessments and ensure fabric quality meets standards.
Monitor sample-to-bulk consistency in quality and delivery timelines.
Address material-related issues during production offering solutions to minimize defects.
4) Vendor Management
Develop and maintain relationships with multiple fabric & end product suppliers.
Negotiate pricing and lead times.
Ensure backup suppliers are available to mitigate delivery risks.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in textile fashion supply chain management or equivalent work experience
5-8 years of experiences in fabric sourcing or project management (bags and accessories industry experience is a plus)
Experiences on supplier & cost management. Good sense on numbers. Fact and data driven
Previous working experience in buying office and / or factory environment is an advantage.
Knowledges and experiences in fabric bags fashion accessories and the European market are preferred
Excellent command of written and spoken English Mandarin and Cantonese a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to negotiate and coordinate with all stakeholders as well convey the objectives within teams.
Demonstrate strong verbal written critical thinking and analytical skills.
Demonstrate a strong drive for result. A can-do attitude
Demonstrate good discipline in holding project review timeline and budget
Well-organized self-motivated hardworking and good sense of responsibility
