Work hours: Full Time 36 Hours 7:00am 7:00pm

NICU Department highlights:

Fast-paced Level III NICU

Provides care for 22 weeks

Cooling High Frequency Ventilator

Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing

Heres What You Need

Diploma in Nursing required or

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program

BSN preferred

One-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program.

Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred

RN Registered Nurse upon hire required and

BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

NRP Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and

NRPA Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and

CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annually

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient

Plans the care of the patient

Intervenes as appropriate

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
