Job Summary
Elaborate implement and execute the Materials Control Plan in coordination with the different disciplines involved according to the customer requirements the project and the scope of the contract. It is responsible for coordinating material control activities including inventory levels ensuring information integrity and providing training understanding and implementing material control processes supervising the material flow process as well as its use handling storage and preservation.
Responsibilities:
- Have the organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication data collection counseling and providing feedback.
- Prepare reports on business development in terms of Materials (Production Control Inventory Coverage Sales etc.).
- Prepares issues and monitors the Materials Control Plan of the project.
- Monitors the purchasing traffic and warehouse records.
- Serve as a project member in the plans formulation and in the execution of general materials procurement activities. Assist in the planning and execution of specialized material control functions.
- Supervise the activities of on-site procurement personnel to ensure that materials arrive at the site in accordance with the Materials Control Plan and in synchrony with the construction plan.
- Assists in the control of equipment components and spare parts to maintain control of receipt inventory and readiness for construction.
- Materials Control.
- Under minimal supervision plans organizes directs and manages the function of the Materials Controller of the project.
- Coordinates the Expediting and control of materials in the Prefabricated Workshop.
- Identifies and evaluates aspects that may constitute an increase in the scope of material control work.
- Notifies the Procurement Superintendent and Project Manager of those aspects that could substantially affect the project in utility cost program or customer relations.
- Assists from the beginning during development and in the review of Cost/Program trends.
- Implements procedures and systems to minimize excess material.
- Generates reports to keep records and updated controls from quantification to delivery on site.
- Reports the status of the projects total material volumetry.
- Generates reports of the availability of materials to guide both the work in the field and in the prefabricated workshop and initiates corrective activities and expediting as required.
- Organizes and creates Work Packages within the Materials Planning module based on the scope of work program activities and priorities.
Job Profile:
- Engineering bachelors degree o related
- 5 years as a similar position.
- Proficiency at English
- People management
Experience:
- SAP system experience
- Microsoft Office Tools
- Technical knowledge related to FIFO KANBAN INVENTORY ACCURACY TOOLS.
