Referral Liaison ProgressiveHealth of Indiana LLC Jasper IN

We are looking for a Referral Liaison to join our team! This person will be responsible for identifying and contacting new patient referrals and scheduling initial appointments for our outpatient clinic. This is a full-time in-office position with a weekday day-shift schedule. This is also a wonderful opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience in the healthcare industry. What will you be doing in this role

Processing and distributing incoming appointment referrals
Coordinating with patient to schedule initial appointment within 48 hours of receiving referral
- Will be documenting all contact attempt and any lost referrals
Follow protocol to make the minimum number of contact attempts for referrals not yet scheduled
Schedule walk-up evaluations referred directly by neighboring physicians
Entering scheduled appointments in patient electronic medical records (EMR) and attaching the referral for the Patient Experience Specialist to review
Answering telephone and returning voicemails in a timely and professional manner
Other duties and special projects as assigned

Our ideal candidate would:

Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Have at least 1 year of related experience or training is preferred
Have previous experience in a customer service or clerical role
Display a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment without constant supervision
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
Demonstrate strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change
Demonstrate strong follow-up and follow-through skills
Be able to maintain confidentiality
Have strong computer skills including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word and Excel
