Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communication link between the plant corporate teams and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate customer and vendor interactions including visit preparation presentations and follow-up actions.

  • Prepare distribute and track key communications updates and action items related to plant operations and initiatives.

  • Support plant startup launch readiness and production ramp-up activities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings plant reviews customer visits and audits.

  • Track open issues risks and countermeasures ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.

  • Ensure customer requirements standards and expectations are clearly communicated to plant teams.

  • Assist with supplier coordination for materials services and operational needs.

  • Develop reports dashboards and summaries on plant performance launch milestones and key initiatives.

  • Maintain organized documentation for communications compliance and operational records.

  • Support leadership with scheduling planning and coordination of strategic activities.

  • Ensure plant operations comply with Adient policies procedures and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949 ISO and customer-specific requirements).

  • Support corrective actions related to audits quality issues or operational gaps.

  • Promote structured problem-solving and clear escalation paths across teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 35 years of experience in automotive manufacturing operations project coordination or plant support roles.

  • Strong communication organizational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Outlook).

  • Experience in automotive plant startups launches or ramp-up environments.

  • Familiarity with OEM customer interactions and supplier coordination.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing problem-solving methodologies (8D A3) and quality systems.

  • Experience working in unionized or non-unionized manufacturing environments.
