JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary communication link between the plant corporate teams and external stakeholders.
Facilitate customer and vendor interactions including visit preparation presentations and follow-up actions.
Prepare distribute and track key communications updates and action items related to plant operations and initiatives.
Support plant startup launch readiness and production ramp-up activities.
Coordinate cross-functional meetings plant reviews customer visits and audits.
Track open issues risks and countermeasures ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Ensure customer requirements standards and expectations are clearly communicated to plant teams.
Assist with supplier coordination for materials services and operational needs.
Develop reports dashboards and summaries on plant performance launch milestones and key initiatives.
Maintain organized documentation for communications compliance and operational records.
Support leadership with scheduling planning and coordination of strategic activities.
Ensure plant operations comply with Adient policies procedures and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949 ISO and customer-specific requirements).
Support corrective actions related to audits quality issues or operational gaps.
Promote structured problem-solving and clear escalation paths across teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
35 years of experience in automotive manufacturing operations project coordination or plant support roles.
Strong communication organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Experience in automotive plant startups launches or ramp-up environments.
Familiarity with OEM customer interactions and supplier coordination.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing problem-solving methodologies (8D A3) and quality systems.
Experience working in unionized or non-unionized manufacturing environments.
