This is an 18 month contract position.
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team in Edmonton.
The Account Manager will provide support to the client servicing team to ensure client focused account support and relationship management is provided to external clients and internal consultants. The Account Manager is responsible for the set-up of new groups providing professional customer service and support to clients benefit consultants brokers and customer service representatives for an assigned block of business. The employee is expected to also focus on client retention and up-selling to the block of business assigned to the employee. Client retention is a very important part of the employees duties.
The Account Manager will:
Be a strategic thinker and able to offer innovative solutions
Network and build relationships
Liaise between the client and carrier to assist with handling of contentious claims and benefits related issues.
Assist in creating marketing proposals and participate in finalist presentations as required.
Support the transitioning of clients to new carriers.
Review and maintain all clients contracts and booklets amendment log plan design overview and related documentation.
Ensure plan documentation adheres to collective bargaining agreements as needed.
Conduct Plan Member education sessions when requested.
Ensure necessary tools benchmarking and renewal reports are prepared and delivered to clients.
Develop communications required for plan sponsors and their employees where necessary.
Participate in industry conferences seminars etc. to promote services and keep abreast of industry trends and activities.
Maintain deep knowledge of administration including in house and carrier best practices and liaise with implementation stakeholders as needed.
Define service standards with clients and manage account lifecycle according to set service agreement/commitment.
Ensure service standards are met and all deliverables are complete and client-focused.
To be successful as an Account Managerwith People Corporation you will need:
Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in a client-facing role. Group benefits experience considered an asset
Ability to act as a Brand Ambassador or key liaison for cross-functional services associated with People Corporation
Understanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangements.
Completion or the ability to complete GBA and/or Life License Qualification Program
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders
A solutions and results-oriented individual who demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
The ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified promptly
Proficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technology
A valid drivers license and vehicle
Time management- prioritizing tasks and responsibilities to ensure optimal productivity
Strong communication skills - must be able to articulate ideas provide instructions and actively listen to team members and colleagues
