Job Title: Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher
Location: Sterling VA
Duration: 34 Weeks
Shift: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 3:15 PM
Pay: $1800/week
Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities. The teacher will deliver individualized and small-group instruction collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to support each childs growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction to early childhood students with special needs in alignment with IEP goals.
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans addressing cognitive social-emotional communication and motor skills.
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with general education teachers speech therapists occupational therapists and other service providers.
Maintain accurate documentation including progress reports and IEP updates.
Foster a safe supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for home support.
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.
Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Special Education Special Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education ECSE or eligibility to obtain.
Experience working with preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development implementation and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of early childhood development and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Patience flexibility and commitment to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
