Job Summary

Job Title: Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher
Location: Sterling VA
Duration: 34 Weeks
Shift: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 3:15 PM
Pay: $1800/week

Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities. The teacher will deliver individualized and small-group instruction collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to support each childs growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to early childhood students with special needs in alignment with IEP goals.

  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans addressing cognitive social-emotional communication and motor skills.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers speech therapists occupational therapists and other service providers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation including progress reports and IEP updates.

  • Foster a safe supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for home support.

  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.

  • Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Special Education Special Education or a related field.

  • Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education ECSE or eligibility to obtain.

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.

  • Knowledge of IEP development implementation and compliance requirements.

  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and evidence-based instructional strategies.

  • Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Patience flexibility and commitment to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
