We are seeking a motivated Health & Benefits Consultant to support the design financing valuation pricing and administration of group benefit plans including health dental life and disability. You will provide analytical and technical support to lead consultants in managing client accounts and delivering high-quality consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and review data from insurers or clients to ensure completeness accuracy and usability for financial analyses and valuations.
  • Analyze and interpret benefit plan experience data estimate future costs and perform cost projections.
  • Review annual benefit plan renewals and financial reports.
  • Support benefit plan benchmarking and redesign analyses including cost implications.
  • Develop basic project management and consulting skills managing quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings assisting with clear and concise client communications.
  • Support resolution of client claim escalations under senior guidance.
  • Review insurer contracts plan documents and employee communications for alignment with client expectations.
  • Conduct market surveys (tendering) of benefit plans for clients.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining intellectual capital tools and other initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Finance Actuarial Science Mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in the group insurance industry is an asset.
  • Completion of 12 actuarial exams is a plus but not required.
