Youll gain real-world experience build leadership skills and make lasting memories all while working in one of Maines most beautiful outdoor classrooms.

Statement of the Job:

The Assistant Cook is responsible for the application of established standards policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe and cost effective food and beverages. This position is part-time seasonal (mid-June to mid-August).

Hourly Wage is $15.10 - $18.00/hr.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • High School Diploma G.E.D OR equivalent AND some culinary training.
  • Complete health screening and appropriate background checks
  • Servsafe food handler certification

Preferred:

  • High safety and sanitation standards
  • Training and/or experience in sanitation food preparation and protection hygiene and record-keeping
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule
  • Flexible team player
  • Training and/or experience in sanitation food preparation and protection hygiene and record-keeping

About Greenland Point 4-H Learning Center:
The 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Greenland Point provides environmentally focused programming for Maine youth through summer camp and school programs. These programs are designed to inspire outdoor fun practical woods-wise skills and hands-on conservation education. Participants may learn a new outdoor skill or activity that will increase their awareness and understanding of ways that we can live fulfilling lives and make sound choices while doing the things that we enjoy. Through these programs our mission is to teach youth to be effective and caring citizens through affordable environmental education and fun nature-based experiences.
