SARRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and providing a lifetime of support for individuals with autism and their families. Our preschool programs are a critical component of our mission emphasizing naturalistic behavioral interventions in inclusive environments to prepare children (both with and without ASD) for meaningful integration into the community. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom team and implement evidence-based practices. About the Role As a Senior Preschool Teacher at SARRC you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for pre-school aged children. You will be responsible for developing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum fostering social-emotional growth and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support each childs individual needs. This position requires a deep understanding of early childhood development a passion for working with diverse learners and a commitment to SARRCs mission. Key Responsibilities - Curriculum Development & Implementation:Ability to design and implement play-based learning and instruction that respects individual & group needs culture and typical developmental milestones of preschool-aged children.
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive structured and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning social interaction and emotional well-being for all children. Utilize positive behavior supports and strategies.
- Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Observe document and assess childrens progress using data to inform instruction and communicate with families.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with preschool teachers lead preschool teachers and other team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services for all children. Mentors trains and guides teachers at the campus.
- Program Support:Support the training of new team members in the classroom provide program tours for prospective non-treatment students and assist with child care licensing checks.
Required Qualifications - Education: High school diploma at a minimum or equivalent GED.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of successful experience within a pre-school setting.
- Certifications: Must obtain RBT certification (training provided in-house).
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Special Education or a related field.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Work Environment Candidates must possess the physical ability to perform the following tasks consistently throughout the workday: - Prolonged Standing & Movement: Ability to stand walk and move dynamically around the classroom and playground for extended periods.
- Lifting & Transferring: Ability to safely lift position and transfer moderate amounts of weight as needed and assist in crisis management or transition support.
- Bending Squatting Kneeling: Frequent ability to bend squat kneel or sit on the floor to interact with children at their level.
Salary $22/hr Schedule Monday - Friday; no weekends. 9:00am - 5:30pm Robust Benefits Package - Up to 16 days per year paid time off and 8 paid holidays
