Ventias Network Integrity and Facilities Management (NIFM) team plays a critical role in maintaining Telstras nationwide network infrastructure and facilities. We ensure the integrity of telecommunications exchanges manage power systems and deliver comprehensive facilities services across Australia.

We are seeking a hands-on HVAC Efficiency Specialist to lead energy efficiency initiatives and ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems across our network facilities.

About the Role
This is a practical technical role where youll apply your extensive HVAC expertise to improve energy efficiency and reliability across our network sites. Youll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and correcting deficiencies in HVAC assets and controls
• Identifying and resolving issues impacting energy consumption
• Designing and implementing cost-effective projects to reduce energy usage incorporating innovative products and solutions
• Performing robust calculations to predict and verify energy savings
• Applying trade experience across HVAC systems refrigeration and DDC controls programming
• Providing technical support to contractors and facility managers
• Travelling to regional and interstate sites as required

About You

To succeed in this role youll bring:

• Previous experience as a qualified Air Conditioning tradesperson
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems refrigeration BMS and DDC controls
• Experience with Innotech Siemens or Honeywell systems (highly regarded)
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-changing environment
• Highly organised with a continuous improvement mindset
