CAD Technican

AECOM is seeking a skilled CAD/MicroStation Technician for our New York/New Jersey office. The ideal candidate has a strong drafting and design background with proficiency in relevant software. This role prepares design documents for engineering projects including highways bridges flood-control systems and tunnels.

The CAD Technician will be responsible for the following essential duties:

• Prepare drawings layouts sketches maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using Bentley and Autodesk software.
•  Develop plans sections elevations and details for projects of all sizes and technical complexities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
• Transform rough initial designs and mark-ups into finished working documents.
• Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Compute volumes of excavations and fill for earthmoving projects.
• Assist designers and senior technicians with the preparation of engineering drawing package.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree plus four years of related experience or Associates plus six years of related. experience  or HS/GED eight years of related experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MicroStation AutoCAD including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Autodesk Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience working with New York Metro Transportation projects.
