Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation specializing in the design development and commissioning of automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in PLCs DCS and associated instrumentation and will be responsible for delivering end-to-end automation solutions across diverse industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
- Develop detailed automation system architectures I/O lists and control philosophies.
- Prepare and review functional design specifications (FDS) cause & effect diagrams and control narratives.
- Configure and program PLCs (Siemens Allen Bradley Schneider etc.) and DCS platforms (Honeywell Emerson Yokogawa etc.).
- Develop HMI/SCADA graphics and dashboards.
Project Execution:
- Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
- Lead or support on-site commissioning loop checking and start-up activities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure smooth operation and achieve process KPIs.
Documentation & Standards:
- Generate as-built documentation user manuals and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC ISA local codes).
- Maintain clear project records and technical documentation.
Team & Customer Interaction:
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams vendors and clients.
- Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for design and execution practices.
