Job Description
IG Machine & Fibers Ltd. is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have an opportunity for a Process Engineering Co-Op (8-month or 12-month contract) to join our team based in Brampton Ontario beginning in January 2026. Please note this is a Safety Sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with large ongoing project to update our Standard Operating Procedures/Standard Working Instructions/checklists
- Organizational work in the computer system using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint)
- Lead continuous improvement projects to solve technical issues and improve process performance
- Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing strategies and troubleshooting tools
- Observing the production floor to figure out sequence of events and assist with process map
- Organization of documentation systems
- Assist with Health and Safety administration as required
- Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or new graduate of an Engineering or Technical Program
- Tech savvy highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Outlook Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with compliance documentation or processes
- Great deal of energy and drive
- Great organizational skills
- Possess great initiative
- Ability to learn quickly
- Flexibility
- ISO 9001 understanding or experience an asset
Wage:
- $22/hour - $25/hour
