- Djirra is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Lead to drive organisation wide safety strategy ensure legislative compliance (including new Psychological Health and Safety regulations) and support a culturally safe trauma-informed work environment for our staff and community.
About the Role
The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Lead provides expert guidance in all areas of OHS across Djirras sites. This role is critical in supporting the health safety and wellbeing of our staffmany of whom work with Aboriginal women impacted by family violence.
As a subject matter expert the OHS Lead will lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of OHS programs ensuring compliance with legislation including the upcoming Psychological Health and Safety regulations while reflecting culturally safe and trauma-informed approaches. The position supports Djirras commitment to creating a safe inclusive and responsive work environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women children staff and community.

- A Victorian Employees Working with Childrens Check card or willing to obtain one
- Willing to obtain a Police Check at Djirras expense
- Drivers License

- Minimum Diploma of Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience in policy development research and OHS compliance
