IAP Hackathon Intern (January 2026)

Were launching our second annual IAP Hackathon for MIT Harvard and Olin students! If youre organized strategic and curious about how great events are planned and executed we want you as our IAP Hackathon Micro-Intern.

Internship Term: January 12 to February 1 2026
Commitment: Full-time or part-time; required availability during the weekend of January 30-February 1
Location: Onsite in Somerville MA (in-person)

What Youll Do:

• Act as the main point of contact for 50 hackathon participants; confirm BOM (bill of materials) details participant registration and waivers and any other pre-event logistics.
• Coordinate pre-event and day-of internal logistics with safety facilities and engineering teams at Formlabs.
• Place receive and organize supply orders for each team.
• Order catering and refreshments for Hackathon weekend.
• Assist with setup event flow and communication during Hackathon weekend (January 30-February 1)
• Contribute to other student-facing talent brand initiatives including our in-kind donations program and program communications.

About You:

• Can work independently to manage multiple schedules and projects with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator; you can easily establish relationships are comfortable presenting in front of groups and can clearly communicate your ideas in writing across various audiences.
• Familiarity with event planning best practices SLA/SLS printing and/or hardware prototyping tools a plus but not required.
