This role will be located in Metro and operates under a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum on-campus presence of 50%.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for the management of medium-to-large-scale project(s) which includes managing project resources and partners responsible for coordination implementation execution control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational and unit strategy commitments and goals. Project(s) are typically externally funded and often require the complex coordination of many internal and external partners.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is post-secondary education ideally in Education Business or related community development activity.
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning and project coordination/management. Most recent experience includes post-secondary.

  • Experience with project management tools and methods.

  • Experience functionally leading teams or project teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing programs and processes.

  • Experience in presentation/facilitation.

  • Experience in hiring and managing faculty and staff.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in finance and accounting principles would be considered an asset (including but not limited to: project accounting budgeting and projection financial monitoring and analysis).

  • Experience and comfort with using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite E-mail and web-based applications. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and COGNOS is considered an asset.

  • You have experience in training/facilitation preparation delivery and evaluation.

  • Proven records and information management skills and abilities including an above-average attention to detail for ensuring comprehensive accurate and up-to-date project files;
  • Demonstrated ability to build mutually-productive relationships and interact with senior management and key partner groups;
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization;
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgement;
  • Demonstrated ability to research issues identify trends and relevant topics develop programs and plans that reflect research findings;
  • Understanding of organizational interdependencies interfaces and processes;
  • Ability to develop flexible and creative solutions to meet business needs;
  • Adaptable and able to learn new skills;
  • Knowledge of learning-centred concepts and college priorities;
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
