Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery
Location: Hyannis MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week Rotating Schedule Three 12-hour shifts 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Pay Range: $53$63/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Deliveryfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive obstetric nursing care with accurate and timely documentation.
Complete and update patient assessments throughout admission addressing physical psychological and social needs including discharge planning.
Develop individualized plans of care and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
Serve as charge nurse when needed demonstrating leadership and clinical competency.
Utilize electronic nursing informatics systems accurately and efficiently.
Act as a resource for staff providing support with patient care orientation and clinical education.
Participate in quality improvement activities including monitoring care indicators and evaluating outcomes.
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and blood/body fluid protocols.
Maintain professional development by identifying learning needs and staying current with OB clinical guidelines and standards.
Uphold patient confidentiality and represent the organization positively in interactions with patients families and staff.
Provide consistent service excellence to all patients and stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as requested by leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
BLS and ACLS certifications
Successful completion of Pharmacology exam (facility-based requirement)
Documented Fetal Monitoring Course (Intermediate or Advanced) within the last 2 years
Current NRP certification
Effective English communication skills (verbal and written)
Recent (within 2 years) obstetric nursing experience
Preferred:
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
