Job Description

Position Overview
The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining business requirements test plans and test cases as well as performing functional and regression testing on various applications. This role also provides application support in a help-desk environment. The selected individual will collaborate closely with business users technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality system functionality and documentation.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

Analyze system documentation and artifacts to gain a full understanding of related business processes.
Elicit business and system requirements through methods such as process analysis user interviews group meetings and documentation review.
Document and analyze both current (as-is) and future (to-be) business processes.
Develop and maintain business requirements documents context diagrams process flows data dictionaries and use cases.
Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.
Develop user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and help desk/user support guides.
Translate system requirements into detailed functional and system tests ensuring complete test coverage by mapping requirements to test cases.
Contribute to the creation and execution of regression and user acceptance tests.
Execute functional system and regression testing and participate in UAT activities.
Identify document and track application defects through resolution performing retesting where necessary.
Identify and document gaps or ambiguities in system documentation discovered during testing.
Respond to and resolve incident tickets submitted by end-users of business applications.

Mandatory Qualifications

84 months of experience providing guidance to large teams and/or extensive industry experience demonstrating expert-level proficiency.

Experience Eliciting Requirements
- At least 84 months of experience eliciting business requirements from customers or system artifacts and maintaining those requirements.
- Up to 20 evaluation points may be assigned.
Experience in Business and Process Documentation
- At least 84 months of experience developing business requirements and producing documentation such as use cases process flows screen mock-ups and data dictionaries.
- Up to 20 evaluation points may be assigned.
Experience in Testing Processes
- At least 84 months of experience creating test plans and test cases executing functional and system testing (including regression) and ensuring appropriate test coverage through requirement-to-test mapping.
- Up to 20 evaluation points may be assigned.
Experience with Defect Management
- At least 84 months of experience identifying and documenting defects tracking them through resolution and completing retesting as required.
- Up to 15 evaluation points may be assigned.
