Job Summary

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our client a Karachi-based State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI) seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role:

Job Role

The UI/UX Designer will craft intuitive user-centric experiences for fintech digital products including mobile apps dashboards and payment interfaces. The ideal candidate has a strong design portfolio deep understanding of design systems and the ability to turn complex fintech flows into simple and engaging user journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Translate business and product requirements into wireframes user flows mock-ups and interactive prototypes
Conduct user research (e.g. interviews surveys usability tests) to validate design decisions
Develop and maintain a design system (component library style guide) to ensure consistency across use cases and platforms
Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-fidelity designs are implemented accurately
Iterate on designs based on user feedback metrics (e.g. drop-off in wallet onboarding) and product goals
Ensure designs meet accessibility usability and regulatory constraints (e.g. KYC flows data protection)
Advocate for user-centered design across the organization; present design choices and rationale to stakeholders

Education

Minimum 16 years of education preferably a Masters degree in Design Graphic Design or related field from an HEC-recognized or equivalent foreign institution.

Experience

Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position
Prior experience in UI/UX design ideally in fintech payments or a regulated environment
Proven portfolio of mobile/web design work especially for financial products

Requirements

Proficiency in design & prototyping tools (e.g. Figma Sketch Adobe XD)
Strong understanding of user-centered design interaction design and information architecture
Experience running user research and usability testing
Excellent communication skills able to articulate design decisions to non-designers
Problem-solving mindset detail-oriented and a bias toward iteration

Age
