Our client is a forward-thinking business based in Rochdale with an expanding internal IT team. With two apprentices already secured they are now looking for an experienced Helpdesk Technician to provide hands-on technical support and help mentor junior staff. Position details:
Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: 25000 to 33000 depending on experience

Role overview:
This role is ideal for a Level II/III Technician with at least three years experience in an IT helpdesk or support role. Youll be confident troubleshooting a range of technical issues across hardware software and networking and be comfortable taking ownership of tasks while supporting others.
Key responsibilities:

Provide 2nd line technical support to internal users

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware software and networking

Escalate complex issues where necessary and follow up to resolution

Mentor and support junior staff including apprentices

Maintain accurate documentation of tickets systems and procedures

Support continuous improvement of IT systems and processes
Experience and skills required:

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar IT support/helpdesk role

Strong technical knowledge of Windows environments and Office 365
-
Basic networking understanding (routers switches VPNs etc.)
-
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
-
Organised reliable and proactive
-
Full UK driving licence preferred
