Job Summary

We seek someone who shares our values and can build a culture of inclusion and belonging that allows students to thrive socially emotionally and Foundational Skills:Introducing and reinforcing letter recognition phonics numbers basic math concepts and early literacy skills and concepts utilizing various learning modes such as hands-on approaches and low-floor high-ceiling tasks. Familiarity with UFLI Orton Gillingham All Learners Network Bookworms and Illustrative would be beneficial. Assessment and Observation:Regularly observe student progress evaluate their performance through various assessments and adjust the curriculum accordingly. Regular communication with parents and administration regarding progress monitoring and social-emotional developments is required. Classroom Management:Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment establishing clear expectations for behavior and enforcing expectations to ensure a positive learning with Responsive Classroom and PBIS would be beneficial. Communication and Collaboration:Communicating regularly with parents about their childs progress collaborating with other teachers and staff members and participating in professional development a Positive Learning Environment:Fostering a love of learning nurturing social and emotional development and promoting positive student relationships through the use of the above-mentioned values. Cabot is a school that values project-based learning and experience in this area is beneficial. Supervision:Supervising students during lunchtime recess and other activities outside the is a 1.0 FTE for 2025-2026
