Director of Marketing

Every campaign post and event directly supports life-saving work for animalsand the people who love them. Were searching for a strategic hands-on Director of Marketing to partner closely with our President/CEO and lead a small talented team.
Youll turn vision into strategy strategy into action and action into measurable resultsbalancing big-picture thinking with in-the-weeds execution.
What Youll Do
- Lead and develop a marketing team (events outreach data/website communications) while jumping in to help execute when needed.
- Plan and deliver integrated campaigns that support fundraising events adoptions and key programs.
- Partner with the President/CEO to translate fundraising and brand priorities into clear campaigns and content.
- Oversee social media email website content and marketing collateral to keep messaging consistent and mission-forward.
- Support sponsor relationships community partnerships and outreach programs.
- Use data and reporting to track performance and continuously improve.
A Day in the Life
On a typical day you might:
- Meet with the President/CEO to align on messaging for an upcoming campaign.
- Review your teams priorities and remove roadblocks so deadlines stay on track.
- Jump into a projectediting a key email tightening landing page copy or reviewing campaign creative.
- Check in with Operations to understand whats happening in the building and how marketing can support it.
- Join a planning conversation for an upcoming fundraising event ensuring goals timelines and promotion are clear.
- Look at performance metrics (email social website donations) and make quick adjustments to improve results.
What You Bring
- Significant marketing leadership experience (nonprofit agency or mission-driven organization a plus).
- Proven success running campaigns and/or events tied to revenue or growth goals.
- Experience managing and coaching a team with multiple competing deadlines.
- Strong relationship skillsyoure comfortable partnering with executives staff sponsors and community partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident representing the organization publicly.
- Comfort with email platforms website/content tools and social media as performance channels.
Bonus: Experience with fundraising donor communications or animal welfare is a plus but not required.
Work Environment & Schedule
- On-site in a busy animal shelter environment (with all the sights sounds smells and allergens that come with it).
- Some evenings and weekends required for events and key campaigns.
- Occasional light physical activity in support of events (e.g. setting up materials).
